I’ve made this fudge a lot recently. I gave some to my family, friends and I genuinely ate a whole batch to myself last week #summerbod. It takes up quite a lot of your attention so may not go perfectly the first time but if you stick closely to the steps you should be chillin.
397g can Condensed Milk
450g demerara sugar
You will also need…
20cm square tin lined with baking parchment
1. Place the ingredients into a large non-stick saucepan and melt over a low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
2. Bring to the boil then simmer for 10-15 mins, stirring continuously. Be careful it’s VERY hot! DON’T LEARN THAT THE HARD WAY! To test its ready drop a little of the mixture into a jug of ice-cold water - a soft cute lil ball of fudge should form.
3. Remove from heat and beat until very thick (about 10 mins). At this point you can add extras such as melted chocolate, or peanut butter (my fave). There something about the sweetness of the fudge with the salty peanut butter that just makes my heart smile. Especially crunchy…mmmmmmmm.
4. Pour into the prepared tin and leave to cool before cutting into squares, or circles, or hearts. Basically your choice.
DONE! Super easy and super yummy :)
